MANCHESTER — City and state police cracked down on unsafe truck operation on city streets, with a day-long operation designed to pull vehicles with safety issues off the road.
Manchester police and New Hampsire State Police troopers pulled over trucks as they traveled on city and state roads and directed them to a makeshift weigh station on Winston Street.
Trucks were driven onto a scale to determine if they were in violation of weight limits. Each truck was also given a safety inspection.
Police said a number of trucks were written up for safety violations and one driver arrested on an outstanding warrant.
