Liquid Planet Water Park and Zip Lines experiencing extraordinary 5th year
August 1, 2012: Liquid Planet Water Park And Zip Lines; 446 Raymond RD, Candia, N.H. 03034- Fifth anniversaries might be the 'wood' year, but for Liquid Planet Water Park And Zip Lines this fifth year celebration is a turning out to be a WOULD year. Having started the 2012 season believing this 'would be the year' the park elevated itself on every level, park President, Kevin Dumont can hardly believe the 60% increase in attendance with growth continuing every week. “This is an important year for us,” Dumont says. “We have made some major changes on every level and the difference it is making is clear. We are busy and our guests are happy.”
Liquid Planet experienced typical growth of 20% per year during the first four years and is now seeing three times that amidst this fifth year and equally astonishing is that more than $200,000 was spent on traditional marketing efforts during the first four years which resulted in the steady, but standard growth and this year while achieving unprecedented growth has spent less than $5,000 on traditional marketing efforts. The difference Dumont says, is in the creation of strong business-to-business partnerships, the expansion of the park as a venue for events, the inclusion of new products and services, incorporating effective and strategic marketing, attentive customer service and strong leadership through management. “This year is the culmination of everything we learned during the first four years.” Dumont Says. “Our first four years we were focused on the brick and mortar of the business and this year we became very diligent about creating a beautiful, clean, safe and customer service oriented park.”
Liquid Planet started forging cooperative and mutually beneficial relationships with other business including Shaker Pond Ice Cream , N.H. Fisher Cats, The Pines Seafood , Charmingfare Farm, Macaroni Kids, Steele Hill Resorts, Rye Airfield Skate Park, Sky Dive New England, The Tuckaway Tavern, Haunted Acres N.H.Com / 5K Adventure Race, Amazing Aquascapes, Ascent Indoor Climbing Gym, Portsmouth Kayak Adventures as a way to expand marketing efforts through trades, social media and in house exposure. With more than 120 acres and the necessary infrastructure the park recognized opportunity to produce and host events including the N.H. Com Adventure 5K Race, a Zumba convention and Haunted Acres. Also starting in early spring was the aesthetic upgrade of vibrant colored buildings, paved walkways, an aquascape at the entrance and informative signage throughout the facility. “The park has never looked so good.” Dumont says. “There is a vibrant and positive energy that our guests notice each day.” The addition of independent brand consultant, Brent Beckett contributed to the fresh ideas on how to focus on our target market of young families, be responsive to guest feedback, expand and build upon park strengths while making improvements where needed. “Liquid Planet makes a concerted effort to create a very positive experience for their guests.” Beckett says. “Park management is very open to implementing new ideas, receptive to constructive feedback which is not always easy to hear and growing the park at a reasonable pace which makes sense for their long term goals. The tremendous success they are experiencing this year is attributed to the commitment of creating a brand that is represented by quality on every level. 60% growth in one year is extraordinary and in my opinion deserved.”
New products in the food service and gift shop are adding to the pleasurable experience for the guests while contributing to a healthy bottom line this year. “We are constantly learning the needs and wants of our guests and then accommodate them as best we can.” Dumont says. The addition of Shaker Pond Ice Cream is generating solid sales while also providing a summery treat the guests love.” The long list of line items associated with every aspect of the park has become the day-to-day playbook for park operations. 'While managing, developing and growing the Liquid Planet brand, management now understands the need to constantly assess everything in order to realize if it works, doesn't work, can be expanded upon or eliminated.” Beckett says. “The attention is in the details and the obsessive analyzing of these items is resulting in one of the nicest family attractions in New Hampshire.” For More information please contact Brent Beckett at 603-969-3922.
