Manchester pair plead guilty to TD Bank branch robbery
CONCORD — Two Manchester men have pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in connection with the Dec. 17, 2011, robbery of the TD Bank branch on Bay Street in the Queen City.
Raymond Rios, 25, who admitted robbing the bank, was sentenced to 55 months in jail.
Jordan Dearborn, 22, who pleaded to conspiracy to commit bank robbery and aiding and abetting a bank robbery, is scheduled for sentencing Nov. 11 and faces a maximum prison term of 25 years. A surveillance tape showed Rios was the person who entered the Manchester bank branch and handed a note to a bank teller that read, “Empty your cash register into the bag and you (won't) get shot. I HAVE A GUN. Cooperate and no one will get hurt.”
Rios handed the teller a plastic bag and she put money from her teller drawer in the bag and handed it to Rios, who left the bank and got into a vehicle driven by Dearborn.
Manchester police recognized Dearborn from two photos from the surveillance video provided by TD Bank security. The bank clerk had identified Dearborn as a man who had entered the bank and asked a question shortly before the robbery and identified the man in the second photo as the robber.
Police went to Dearborn's then-residence on Manchester's Amherst Street, where both men were found and arrested two days after the robbery.
The case was investigated by Manchester police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bob Kinsella.
