Hampton man charged with robbing two banks
HAMPTON - A Hampton man has been arrested and charged with robbing two different Hampton banks in April.
Hampton Police arrested Jason Pratt, 29, on two counts of robbery. He was being held at the Rockingham County Jail on an unrelated charge.
Pratt is charged with robbing the Provident Bank in Hampton April 3 and the TD Bank in Hampton April 20. Pratt is also suspected in the robbery of the Provident Bank in Seabrook March 22.
Hampton detectives received a tip that Pratt was involved, and based on the tip, witness statements and evidence recovered from the scene, warrants were sought and granted for his arrest.

In an unrelated bank robbery, Hampton Police said Ryan Patrick Lane, 35, of Charlestown, Mass., has been arrested for the robbery of the TD Bank branch in Hampton on April 14.
U.S. Marshals arrested Lane in Brockton, Mass. Lane was wanted for two bank robberies in Massachusetts as well as the Hampton robbery.
Lane is being held in Massachusetts as a fugitive from justice and will be arraigned on the Massachusetts charges before being turned over to New Hampshire authorities.
