The Charlestown Historic District contains 62 structures on and around Main Street. Most of buildings were constructed prior to 1940, with at least ten buildings predating 1800. Their styles range from Greek Revival to Federal and include churches, gas stations, the Charlestown Inn, homes and barns, a firehouse and many other structures.
