This is it. The "unofficial end" to summer. If you haven't made it to the beach this summer, do it this weekend. Hop in the car, family-in-tow, and enjoy all the fun - the sun, the sand, the picnic lunch, a pick-up volleyball game, sand-castle making, kite flying and live entertainment - it's all a part of the beach experience. Here's what's up this week! And don't forget the huge Seafood Festival next weekend. They will be closing off Ocean Boulevard for all the food and fun!

Hampton Beach, known for its wide expanse of super clean beach, also boasts a summer full of seaside activities. There's a fully supervised playground as well as arcades and waterslides and opportunities to enjoy a day of deep-sea fishing, whale watching, parasailing or jet skiing. Band concerts, featuring some of the area's top show bands, are held twice a night, seven days a week in the summer at the Sea Shell Stage. Fireworks are held every Wednesday night throughout the summer and during special events and holidays.

Hampton Beach has an events calendar that includes the Annual Seafood Festival each September, the Annual Sand Sculpting Competition in June, the Miss Hampton Beach Pageant in July and the Annual Penguin Plunge in February. The Hampton Beach Casino has long been a concert venue featuring some of the top music and comedy acts around. Hampton Beach has been a popular summer vacation destination for generations of families.
