Lake Francis State Park

Lake Francis is a 2,000 acre lake in the Connecticut Lakes region of the Great North Woods. Hunters and anglers enjoy this park as a base for their respective activities. A boat launch is located in the day-use area of the park. Canoeists enjoy exploring the upper part of the Connecticut River.

Camping
Each campsite at Lake Francis State Park Campground has a fireplace, picnic table, flat area for a tent, and a parking space. The walk-in sites are situated near the river, have tent platforms and are about a two-minute walk from the parking area. Running water, flush toilets, and a dump station are centrally located in the campground.

Lake Francis campground provides 42 sites; all sites are by reservation only. The campground has limited facilities from October through December 1st; campers should be aware that there is no running water in the campground during this time.

Lake Francis State Park provides a great camping base for organized youth groups that want to explore the North Country. Reservations for youth group camping are required.
